🌤 Weather: Hot, humid, and lake-ready for the holiday weekend. Check the forecast before you head out.
Top things happening
Fireworks across the Lake for America's 250th, Friday July 3 and Saturday July 4. Two hundred fifty years since the Declaration of Independence, and the Lake is lighting up for it. Lodge of Four Seasons (13.5 MM), Captain Ron's Bar & Grill (34.5 MM, Sunrise Beach, live music plus fireworks at dusk Friday), Bear Bottom Resort (Sunrise Beach, 9:45pm), and Margaritaville Lake Resort all have shows on the water.
Osage Beach City Park has dusk fireworks and family activities Saturday, July 4.
Best viewing spots are the Bagnell Dam Strip and the public parks near Lake Ozark. If you're watching from the water, anchor by 7pm — it gets crowded fast after 8.
Independence Day is observed Friday, July 3. Many lake-area offices and businesses close, so call ahead if you need something done.
Community notice
Boat traffic on the main channel will be heavier than usual both nights this weekend. Give yourself extra time getting to your spot, and extra space once you're there.
One more thing
Versailles is holding its Independence Day Celebration Friday, July 3, from 4pm until the fireworks show after dusk at Versailles City Park — live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and a bounce house obstacle course for the kids. A good option if you want a land-based Fourth away from the boat traffic.
